Well, our first born had her first overnight without Mommy and Daddy. I know, she's only 5 yrs. old but she went with her school and she (we) love her school. It was to a resort that had swimming, camp activities, games, movies, etc. The bus came to pick her up as usual and she went on her merry way with 4 other foreign students (Americans, and I'm friends with all the moms) and about 15 Korean students from her school, all of which Gabi knows well. Most of the teachers also went and slept in the hotel rooms with the kids. Gabi was sooooo excited to go and had no fear or sadness about leaving us for a night. The school sent us text messages periodically throughout the day and night giving us updates and how the kids were. She came home exhausted but very happy. The school sent home a cd of photos that Gabi was in. Here they are. We think she'll stay there for Kindergarten in August. We aren't sure where our next station will be but have a feeling that she may miss a couple months of school because of travel (PCS) and this school is teaching her so much that she will be ahead in her schooling. One less thing to have to worry about during our next transition.
